Some things are not fixable

But I remain hopeful despite

The lack of love I find

When the air is thick between us.

Some things are not fixable

At least, they can’t be repaired

To look the same as before

They must be made new instead.

Some things are not fixable

Unless time allows the raw edge

To be worn down to where

It’s not sharp enough to wound.

Some things are not fixable

But I hold onto faith

That God will make a way

And deal with you and me.
